1st Annual School’s Out! “Mom…Can We Go Whale Watching?” Adventure

Tuesday June 19, 2012

You are invited to join Leigh and Ellie Calvez as they host the 1st Annual “School’s Out! ‘Mom…Can We Go Whale Watching?’ Adventure” aboard Island Adventure’s, Island Explorer 3.  Join us for this 5-6 hour tour around the magical San Juan Islands as we explore the Salish Sea for pods of resident orcas, humpback whales, Minke whales, stellar sea lions, Dall’s porpoise and much more.

We will take our cars across on the 8:40 Kingston ferry on Tuesday June 19, 2012, where Leigh—former whale watch naturalist turned adventure coach—will give a brief talk on the different species of marine mammals we could see and what to look for.  Then we will drive to Anacortes, WA (1 ½ – 2 hours) where we will board boat for the 11:00 am whale watch.

June is the prime season for the resident orca pods that follow the schools of king salmon as they make their way to the Frasier River in B.C.  So, whether you’ve seen many whales or this is your first time, every trip is unique.  Make this your first adventure of the summer and create a lasting memory with your children.

Space is limited so, please register now so you don’t miss out!

To register for the trip sign up below or e-mail Leigh Calvez at leighcalvez@womenandadventure.com.
